Full job description

We're looking for a Premises Manager to join our The Radclyffe School team based in The Radclyffe School.

Location: The Radclyffe School
Hours: 40 hours per week

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.

The Premises Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the school premises operate smoothly and safely. You'll proactively manage building operations, lead a team of operatives, and oversee day-to-day contract delivery while maintaining excellent health and safety standards. As the main site point of contact, you'll build strong relationships with stakeholders and create a welcoming, well-maintained environment for everyone.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Premises Manager, you'll be working within the facilities team, supporting them in maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming school environment. Your day to day will include:

Conducting regular inspections and coordinating repairs to ensure minimal disruption to school activities
Leading and mentoring the soft services team, including performance management and resource allocation
Ensuring full compliance with health and safety policies, emergency procedures, and maintaining fire and water log books
Managing contractors on-site and overseeing reactive and planned maintenance in line with contract requirements
Building positive relationships with colleagues, site users, and management while representing the company professionally

What are we looking for?

This role of Premises Manager is great for you if:

You have strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and facilities management practices
You're skilled in people management with the ability to motivate, mentor, and lead teams effectively
You excel at building relationships, managing priorities, and staying calm under pressure
You're proficient in MS Office and CAFM systems, with excellent communication skills
You're self-motivated, adaptable, and demonstrate excellent leadership qualities
