Full job description

Location: Tunbridge Wells (Primarily home-based until November, then Hybrid)
Hours: Approximately 9:00am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday (around 25-30 hours per week), with flexibility for the right candidate.
Salary: £16–£20 per hour depending on experience.

We're a young, ambitious company experiencing rapid growth and are looking for someone who loves organisation, customer service and making things run smoothly behind the scenes.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the business at an early stage and grow alongside us.

About the Role

This is a varied operations role where no two days are the same.

You'll become the central point of communication between customers, suppliers and our internal team, helping ensure every order progresses smoothly from sale through to delivery and aftercare.

You'll work closely with the Founder and Logistics & Installation Manager, gradually taking ownership of many of the day-to-day operational tasks.

Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service

Respond to customer emails, calls and enquiries
Provide updates on orders and deliveries
Resolve customer queries professionally
Handle warranty and support cases
Manage customer complaints and help find positive resolutions

Operations

Coordinate deliveries and installations
Schedule engineers and installation teams
Liaise with suppliers and freight companies
Monitor customer orders from sale through to completion
Keep internal systems and records up to date
Assist with stock and warehouse administration

Administration

Process orders and paperwork
Maintain CRM records
Prepare quotations and invoices where required
General office administration
Support the Founder with day-to-day business operations

Continuous Improvement

Help improve processes
Spot opportunities to make the business run more efficiently
Take ownership of operational projects as the business grows

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Highly organised
Friendly and confident speaking with customers
Calm under pressure
Able to prioritise multiple tasks
Excellent at written communication
Comfortable using computers and learning new software
Naturally proactive and enjoys solving problems
Happy working in a fast-paced small business

Experience

Ideal experience includes:

Customer service
Office administration
Operations or project coordination
Scheduling or logistics
Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

Experience in every area isn't essential, we're looking for the right person with the right attitude.

Working Hours

Approximately 9:00am–3:00pm, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for the right candidate.

This role is ideal for someone looking for school-friendly hours while still wanting to play an important part in a growing business.

Location

This is an office-based position. However, until our new office and showroom are completed in November, the successful candidate will primarily work from home, with occasional meetings or visits as required.
