Full job description

Emmdees Ltd is a growing food manufacturer based in Dudley, dedicated to producing high-quality food products. We pride ourselves on quality, reliability, and teamwork, offering a supportive workplace with opportunities for professional development.

Role Description: The Bookkeeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day finance function. Duties include processing purchase and sales invoices, recording payments and receipts, reconciling bank accounts, maintaining the purchase and sales ledgers and ensuring financial records are up to date. The role also involves using accounting software, filing financial documents, and providing general administrative support to the finance team.

Note: This role is offered as maternity cover and may be extended based on business needs.

Salary: 12.71/Hour

Working Days: Monday to Friday (8am - 4pm)

Qualifications

Good bookkeeping skills, including maintaining ledgers and handling day-to-day financial records.
Ability to prepare, review, and run financial statements.
Proficiency with accounting software (SAGE) and related finance tools for data entry, reporting, and reconciliation.
Experience with journal entries and basic finance principles.
Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and a high level of accuracy in all financial work.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues on-site in Dudley.
Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Scanning Paperwork.
Previous experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounting support role is desirable.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
