Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Hand/Cook to join our existing team. This role involves supporting food preparation, assisting with meal service, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. The successful candidate will have a passion for cooking and a keen eye for detail, contributing to a welcoming environment for our guests. Experience in catering, restaurant settings, or culinary environments is highly desirable, but full training will be provided for the right applicant. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional kitchen setting.

Duties

Assist in meal preparation and food presentation to ensure timely service
Support the kitchen team with food safety procedures and hygiene standards
Prepare ingredients and basic components of dishes under supervision
Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts
Assist with serving meals to guests or customers as required
Organise ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all tasks
Support catering events by preparing and presenting food items as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in catering, restaurant work, or kitchen environments is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Basic cooking skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends or evenings if required
A positive attitude, team spirit, and willingness to learn new skills
