Location: Scotstoun, On site – 5 days per week

Salary: Up to £33,000 depending on experience

Job Description:

As an Operations Administrator, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Type 26 Trials & Commissioning team. Supporting testing, commissioning, and sea trial activities, you will help maintain compliance, coordinate equipment and records, and ensure the team has the resources, information, and support needed to deliver key programme requirements effectively and safely.

Core duties:

Maintain training records, monitor certification and refresher requirements, and support weekly business reporting, meeting administration, and action tracking
Oversee office support activities, including purchasing, stock control, inventory management, and maintaining accurate financial records
Coordinate new starter onboarding, including desk allocation, local office arrangements, and day-to-day administrative support
Support health, safety, and compliance activities, including office inspections, safety equipment management, and First Aider and Fire Marshal coordination
Coordinate equipment calibration, maintain asset traceability, and govern the exchange of equipment and assets between in-build vessels

Essential Skills:

Experience providing administration, coordination, or business support within a team environment
Considerable organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and govern multiple activities while meeting deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
High attention to detail, with experience maintaining accurate records, processing information, and working confidently with numerical data.
Dedicate approach to problem-solving and supporting operational activities, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively

The Type 26 Trials and Commissioning Team:

The team supports system testing, commissioning activities, and sea trials, ensuring vessels are ready for operation and compliant with required standards. Working across office, workshop, and shipboard environments, the team delivers critical activities that support programme success and operational readiness; no two days are the same but every day is critical.
