Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café Manager to lead our vibrant team and oversee daily operations within a busy café environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a comprehensive understanding of food preparation and safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team, ensure exceptional customer service, and maintain high standards of culinary excellence. The Café Manager will be responsible for supervising staff, managing food production, and ensuring the smooth running of all café activities.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily café operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food presentation
Supervise and motivate staff, including baristas, kitchen assistants, and serving personnel
Manage food preparation and cooking processes to meet safety and quality standards
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely stock replenishment and inventory management
Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Organise staff rotas, training sessions, and performance reviews
Ensure excellent customer service by addressing customer feedback promptly and professionally
Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and cost control measures
Implement marketing initiatives to promote the café’s offerings and attract new customers
Uphold a welcoming environment that reflects the café’s brand values

Experience

Proven supervising experience within a hospitality or restaurant setting
Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
Experience in team management, with strong leadership qualities and the ability to motivate staff
Background in restaurant or hotel environments is highly desirable
Familiarity with food production processes, kitchen operations, and hospitality standards
Barista experience is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided as needed
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
