Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and light food items. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about coffee, food safety, and creating a welcoming environment for customers. The position is paid and suitable for those who thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and speciality drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions, and provide outstanding customer service to enhance their experience.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station, including cleaning equipment and work surfaces regularly.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system and manage customer payments efficiently.
Follow food safety standards and health regulations at all times during food preparation and service.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts.
Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers promptly during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous barista experienceis preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safetystandards and procedures is desirable.
Experience in servingcustomers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Good basic mathsskills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong time managementskills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy hours.
Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills to engage positively with customers and team members.
