Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organised Retail/Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role involves supporting daily store operations, managing stock, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a proactive attitude. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity to develop retail and warehouse experience within a supportive environment. Weekend availability is a must.

Responsibilities

Assisting customers with their enquiries in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring excellent phone etiquette and upselling where appropriate
Organising stock levels, replenishing shelves, and maintaining visual merchandising standards
Handling incoming deliveries, unpacking, and storing items efficiently in the warehouse area
Managing inventory records accurately using basic maths skills for stock counts and data entry
Supporting the organisation of the store layout to optimise sales and customer flow
Assisting with order fulfilment, packaging, and dispatch processes
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
Providing support during busy periods by managing multiple tasks effectively through good time management skills

Qualifications

Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
Experience or interest in merchandising and retail operations is advantageous
Good phone etiquette and customer service orientation
Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating flexibility and reliability
Previous experience in a retail or warehouse setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
