Full job description

3 Month Contract With A Local Authority

Job Purpose

To carry out high-quality painting and decorating works across void and tenanted properties, ensuring properties are prepared and presented to a high standard. The role will involve completing a range of decorating tasks, including painting, wallpapering, and general finishing works, while maintaining excellent workmanship and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Complete painting and decorating works within void properties to a high standard.
Carry out wallpapering and papering tasks when required.
Undertake occasional decorating works within tenanted properties.
Prepare surfaces, including filling, sanding, and ensuring areas are ready for decoration.
Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and in line with quality standards.
Maintain a clean and tidy working environment throughout all projects.
Report any issues, additional requirements, or property concerns promptly.
Use company-provided vehicle responsibly for work-related activities only.

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Decorator/Painter and Decorator.
Strong practical skills in painting, decorating, and wallpapering.
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Good attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship.
Experience working within residential properties is desirable.
Professional and respectful approach when working in both empty and occupied homes.
Full UK driving licence required.

Additional Information

Location: Redditch, B98 7SN
Hours per week: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm (40 hours per week)
Bi-Weekly Payments: Payments made every two weeks
