Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable General Labourer to join a team in Dorchester on a commercial project. This role involves supporting various on-site tasks across different projects, ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a safe working environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
Preparing work sites by clearing debris and setting up necessary tools and safety barriers
Carrying out manual tasks such as lifting, digging, and moving materials as required
Supporting skilled tradespeople with their tasks when needed
Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed at all times
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the work area throughout the shift
Reporting any hazards or issues to supervisors promptly

Skills

Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual labour over extended periods
Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
Good organisational skills and attention to detail
Basic understanding of health and safety procedures in a construction or industrial environment
Reliable with a strong work ethic and punctuality
