About Us

Welcome to Ormskirk Food & Drink Market, the original indoor market hall brought back to life as an immersive social space to eat, meet and play – all under one historic roof!

Our market offers seven vendors serving up a variety of tasty street food to be enjoyed in the original market hall or up on the mezzanine dining space. In the bar area, we have an abundant drinks menu to enjoy ‘til late and here you’ll find our stage, showcasing live music throughout the weekend, plus live sports streaming across multiple screens!

Whether it's family hangouts, fun with friends, doggy days, celebrations or date nights, the Market is a space for everyone to eat, meet and play.

The Experience

Ormskirk Market is looking to hire Bartenders to work side-by-side with our Bar Manager, Bar Supervisor and the Ormskirk Market team to help us deliver memorable experiences across all areas of the Market.

This is a part-time position predominantly 4 days out of 7 including weekends. Working a minimum of 8 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

Help with drink mixing or service where necessary, and assisting in stocking and leaning.
Create a welcoming environment for customers and continually monitor how we can improve guest experience.
Ensure drinks service is consistent and high quality at all times.
Handle customer feedback and provide adequate solutions to customer complaints.
Oversee the cleanliness of staff and the physical bar area, paying attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations.
Create a positive work environment for yourself and others around you.
Positively promote sales within the department and maximise sales opportunities by upselling to customers.

Skills and Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Bartender in a restaurant / cocktail bar.
Basic cocktail & product knowledge.
Knowledge and awareness of the Food and Beverage Operation.
Health and Safety awareness.
Motivational attitude to make positive and constructive input to the team.
Flexible and adapts quickly and positively to new situations.
Organized and uses a systematic approach.
Positive communicator and team player.
