Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Operator specialising in Crusher & Screener operations to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining crushing and screening equipment within a quarry environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating plant machinery safely and efficiently to support the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring material is processed and loaded in line with operational requirements.

Duties

Operate crusher and screener machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning, reporting any faults or issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records of machine operation, maintenance, and any incidents during shifts.
Support with basic mechanical tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and minor repairs to minimise downtime.
Monitor material flow through the crushing and screening process, adjusting settings as necessary to meet production specifications.
Ensure the work area remains clean, organised, and free from hazards at all times.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience operating loading shovels or similar heavy plant.
Experience operating crushers and screening equipment in a waste, recycling, quarrying or aggregates environment.
Valid NPORS or CPCS Plant Operator card covering relevant plant machinery.
Crusher and Screener Operator certification or demonstrable competency operating crushing and screening equipment.
Good understanding of safe working practices and Health & Safety legislation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including early mornings or late shifts depending on project needs.
Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
