Cambrian Granite is a family-run business based in the heart of Yorkshire. Since 2007, we have specialised in sourcing, fabricating, and installing high-quality granite, quartz, and Dekton worktops. Built on a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship, customer service, and attention to detail, we are proud to be one of the most trusted names in the industry.

**We will be relocating to our new, modern facility in Goole (DN14 6BZ) by the end of 2026.**

Working hours: Monday–Thursday 08:00–17:00, Friday 08:00–16:30 (overtime may be required).

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our growing workshop team. This is a key role responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery to manufacture high-quality stone worktops for both domestic and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in stone processing, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

Program, set, and operate CNC machinery (including bridge saws and machining centres) for cutting and shaping stone worktops.
Interpret technical drawings, CAD files, and work orders to ensure accurate production.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to ensure precision and efficiency.
Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of CNC equipment.
Inspect finished components to ensure they meet Cambrian Granite’s quality standards.
Work closely with the fabrication and finishing teams to ensure smooth workflow and production deadlines are met.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment, following all health and safety procedures.
Safely handle and move stone materials using appropriate lifting equipment.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

Requirements

Proven experience operating CNC machinery within the stone worktop or similar industry.
Strong understanding of CAD/CAM software (Alphacam, Pegasus, ETcam) .
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Experience working with granite, quartz, and porcelain materials is highly desirable.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physically capable of working with heavy materials in a workshop environment.
Reliable, punctual, and motivated with a positive attitude.

Pay: £26,500.00-£33,280.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

Howden DN14 7XF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
