Full job description

We are looking for an organised, confident and technology-minded Operations Coordinator to become a key part of Total Payments. We help UK businesses with card payments, payment technology and related business solutions. As we grow, we need someone who can take ownership once a sale is won and make sure the merchant gets from application to live trading quickly, accurately and professionally.

What you'll do

· Take ownership of new merchants once the sales team has won the business.

· Review completed deal information and submit applications to the correct provider quickly and accurately.

· Manage applications through underwriting, approval, delivery, installation and go-live.

· Keep merchants and sales advisers updated without needing to be chased.

· Handle post-sale operational enquiries and work with providers to resolve issues.

· Build strong day-to-day relationships with our payment and technology partners.

· Learn our providers, products, pricing, portals and onboarding processes and become a trusted source of knowledge for the team.

· Help diagnose straightforward card terminal, app, gateway and payment-technology issues and know when to escalate.

· Support unusual or more technical opportunities, including unattended payments, mobile/app payments and integrations, by researching the right solution.

· Provide accurate product information to Marketing so our website and customer content stay current.

· Use AI and modern tools to research, document, communicate and improve the way we work.

· Help build and maintain TP Workspace, our developing internal knowledge and operations platform.

Who we're looking for

You do not need to arrive as a payments expert. We are more interested in the way you think and work.

· Naturally organised with excellent attention to detail.

· Strong customer service and communication skills.

· Comfortable taking ownership and following an issue through to completion.

· Technically curious - new software, hardware and portals do not intimidate you.

· A logical problem solver who is willing to read, test, ask questions and figure things out.

· Confident using AI tools in your work, or able to demonstrate meaningful practical experience with them.

· Happy working in a growing business where processes will continue to improve.

· Experience in payments, fintech, EPOS, telecoms, SaaS, IT support, technical customer service or operations would be useful, but is not essential.
