About the Role

Vickers Construction Ltd is looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our growing team. We carry out a wide range of property repairs, refurbishment and disrepair works for housing associations and commercial clients across the North East.

This is a hands-on role supporting our skilled tradespeople and helping to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Assisting tradespeople on site.
Loading, unloading and moving materials.
Keeping sites clean, tidy and safe.
Demolition and strip-out works.
General labouring duties.
Assisting with deliveries.
Erecting barriers and protecting work areas.
Removing waste materials.
Following Health & Safety procedures at all times.
Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required.

Essential Requirements

Previous experience working as a General Labourer within the construction industry.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Good knowledge of construction site practices.
Reliable with a strong work ethic.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
Punctual and trustworthy.
Physically fit and capable of manual handling.

Desirable

CSCS Card.
Asbestos Awareness.
Manual Handling Training.
Working at Height Training.
First Aid qualification (desirable but not essential).
