Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Trainee Baker and embark on an exciting journey into the world of food preparation and kitchen operations! This paid training position is designed for passionate individuals eager to develop their culinary skills, gain hands-on experience, and learn the fundamentals of food safety, cooking, baking, and restaurant service. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to expand your kitchen expertise, this role offers a lively environment where enthusiasm and a willingness to learn are your greatest assets.

Duties

Assist in food preparation tasks under the supervision of experienced chefs, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients
Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of workstations to ensure food safety standards are met
Learn proper cooking techniques and assist with basic cooking duties to develop culinary skills
Help with baking activities such as preparing doughs, decorating baked goods, and maintaining bakery stations
Follow all food safety protocols diligently to ensure hygiene and quality in every dish prepared
Participate in daily kitchen operations, including inventory checks and ingredient storage management
Contribute to creating a positive team atmosphere by supporting colleagues and embracing new challenges with enthusiasm

Qualifications

Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or restaurant settings is preferred but not required; a strong interest in culinary arts is essential
Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and familiarity with kitchen equipment
Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards
Experience in baking or pastry work is a plus
Ability to follow instructions carefully and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
Prior restaurant or kitchen experience will be advantageous but is not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
