Overview

Join our dynamic hospitality team as a Kitchen Porter and become an essential part of delivering exceptional dining experiences! In this lively role, you’ll be the backbone of our kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and smooth workflow behind the scenes. Your energy and attention to detail will help maintain a hygienic and efficient environment, supporting our chefs and serving staff to deliver top-quality service to every guest. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable culinary and hospitality experience in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold health and safety standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools efficiently while adhering to sanitation protocols
Support the storage and organization of ingredients and supplies in designated areas
Ensure waste disposal is handled properly and recycling procedures are followed
Help with setting up dining areas and clearing tables during service times when needed
Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment

Skills

Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
Basic understanding of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hygiene practices
Previous experience in restaurants, hotels, or hospitality environments is advantageous but not required
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and safety standards in food service environments
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
