Galvanizing Operative – East Anglian Galvanizing

Based in Sawtry, Cambridgeshire East Anglian Galvanizing are part of Wedge Group Galvanizing, which is a successful, nationwide, family-owned business which has been offering secure employment to its employees for over 150 years.

No previous experience is necessary, as full training will be provided.

The role is that of galvanizing operative, working in a factory environment. The candidate will be required to perform manual handling tasks where teamwork is essential. They should be able to follow instructions and communicate effectively in a reasonably paced environment.

This position would suit a loyal, honest, and hardworking individual with a can-do attitude and a safety focused approach. Flexibility to work overtime as well as exemplary standards of attendance and punctuality are vital to maintain high levels of customer service. The factory has handling equipment which include forklift trucks and overhead cranes. Experience of these is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

This role is a hands-on physical position and requires an individual who is prepared to undertake manual handling work in an industrial environment.

Roles are available on rotating day shifts.

The offer;

- Permanent 38-hour contract, with gross pay from £13.18 to £16.30 per hour

- Pay will increase after a 12-week training period to include the performance based weekly bonus.

Hours of Work are:

Monday to Friday contracted 38 hours, shift work rotating weekly.

Monday-Thursday 6am to 2pm / 2pm to 10pm & Friday 6am to 12pm / 12pm to 6pm.
