Full job description

Role Overview

Support project delivery by managing schedules, budgets, reporting, and project governance activities.

Duties

Lead and supervise project teams, ensuring clear communication and effective team management throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or Project Server.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify project risks, delays, or cost overruns, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Gather and document project requirements through stakeholder engagement and requirements gathering techniques.
Control project costs by analysing financial data, managing budgets, and implementing cost control measures.
Utilise ERP systems such as Workday or Salesforce for resource planning and data management.
Manage project documentation using content management systems like SharePoint or Confluence to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Apply various project management methodologies including SAFe, Waterfall, or Agile frameworks like Jira or Smartsheet for effective delivery.
Analyse data to support decision-making processes and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders.
Facilitate communication across departments using tools such as Visio, ServiceNow, or Slack to streamline workflows.
Support product management activities related to project development and delivery of solutions aligned with organisational goals.

Experience

Proven supervising experience in a project controls or programme delivery environment.
Strong background in root cause analysis, risk management, and problem resolution within complex projects.
Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams effectively.
Extensive experience gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders to inform project scope and objectives.
Proficiency in ERP systems including Workday or Salesforce; familiarity with project management software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or Smartsheet is essential.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Experience in cost control techniques and financial analysis related to large-scale projects.
Leadership qualities with a focus on fostering collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong communication skills for presenting information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences alike.
Knowledge of various project methodologies including SAFe, Waterfall, Agile (Jira), or Product Development frameworks is highly desirable.
Familiarity with content management systems like SharePoint or Confluence; experience with data analysis tools such as SAS is advantageous.
