We’re looking for a Transaction Administrator to be part of a very successful and motivated team. Your key objectives will be to assign and allocate cash to customer accounts, ensuring postings are accurate and to a high standard.

Job Title: Transaction Administrator (Fixed Term 6-month contract)

Salary: £25,000 per annum

Location: Nelson

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30/9:00 – 17:00/17:30 (37.5 hours)

As a Transaction Administrator, you will:

Process and maintain accurate financial records, including bank, cheque, card transactions, and payment allocations.
Raise and issue sales invoices, support credit control, and assist with Direct Debit processing and reporting.
Perform banking reconciliations, control checks, and ensure financial records are accurate.
Provide administrative support, including data entry, document management, filing, and spreadsheet preparation.
Support the Credit Administration team with project work, workload management, and other departmental tasks.
Prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively in a target-driven environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Highly numerate / literate with excellent attention to detail and a competent user of Microsoft Office Products.
Excellent Communication skills at all levels including influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal functions and external suppliers in a professional and timely manner
Organised self-starter, disciplined / structured approach to work and able to operate under pressure with the ability to plan and prioritise workload of self and team to a high standard.
Working knowledge of SAGE 200, SAGE 50 and Microsoft Dynamics would be desirable
Previous experience of working in a fast paced, high volume transaction Credit Control Department.
