Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook/Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations, with a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist in menu planning and develop new ideas to enhance our offerings
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing, sanitising, and storing utensils and equipment
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are fresh and available
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Serve food efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and customer service
Follow health and safety protocols at all times, including proper handling of food allergens and dietary restrictions

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Culinary experience with the ability to prepare a variety of dishes confidently
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Previous experience in serving or front-of-house roles is advantageous but not essential
