Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Administrator to join our Business. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting tasks, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the organisation’s financial operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting software and accounts payable processes to contribute to a dynamic business environment.

Responsibilities

Manage and process accounts payable transactions efficiently using recognised accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero.
Ensure all financial data is accurately recorded and maintained in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements as required.
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures.
Maintain organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely processing of payments and accurate financial reporting.
Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.

Experience

Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential.
Demonstrable knowledge of accounts payable procedures and general ledger management.
Previous experience in a similar administrative or finance role is preferred.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with suppliers and internal teams effectively. This position offers an engaging work environment where organisational skills and technical accounting expertise are highly valued. The ideal candidate will be proactive, reliable, and eager to support our organisation’s financial health through meticulous record management and efficient processing of accounts.
