Summary

Our governors and staff are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and diverse school. Frenchwood Community Primary School are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Good interpersonal skills and can work effectively as part of a team.
Will develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, pupils and staff.
Have a good standard of English and Maths.
Support the progress and achievements of individuals and groups of learners academically, socially and emotionally.
The ideal candidate would need to be flexible and a resilient individual who easily adapts to change,
It is strongly advised that a visit to school is booked
This position is part time , term time plus five days and the salary is on a pro rata basis.
This position requires early experience as this post will be working with our nursery & reception children

Essential Qualifications

NVQ level 3 Teaching Assistant or above qualification (or equivalent)

Desirable Qualifications

First Aid qualification.
Good communication skills with staff, parents and children.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Administrative skills.
Knowledge of Key Stages 1 and 2.
Ability to make effective use of ICT.
Awareness of safeguarding procedures.

Essential Experience

Experience of working with children in a relevant classroom environment and supporting pupils with challenging behaviour.
Ability to supervise and assist pupils.
Knowledge/experience of pupils with SEND/SEMH and the ability to adapt strategies to support with children with additional needs.
Ability to assess children's development.

Desirable Experience
