Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and organisation within Madingley Hall, ensuring a hygienic and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in hospitality cleaning, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude.

Key responsibilities

Clean and prepare allocated areas, predominately bedrooms to meet the agreed standard of cleaning and presentation within a set timeframe
Maintain a personal stock of cleaning materials and supplies to ensure materials are available for use.
Ensure equipment is working and report faults to managers.
Observe and record minor maintenance deficiencies within the working area and report these to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Provide feedback where repairs have not been carried out or problems resolved.
Advise supervisor of any health and safety issues, concerns or deficiencies within working areas
Advise supervisor of any specific resident requirements over and above cleaning requirements

Experience and Qualifications

Some experience of cleaning processes, ideally in a hospitality environment.
General understanding of cleaning processes and materials.
Ability to take responsibility for high standards of service and follow through on the resolution of problems.
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of individuals, including staff and guests.
Unfailingly polite and considerate communicator with guests and able to relay requests to staff.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work under pressure and to time constrains.
Basic literacy skills.
Understanding of Health and Safety requirements for trip hazards, lifting, carrying, use of cleaning chemicals, etc.
Flexible approach to shifts (including weekends and bank holidays).
Commitment to providing high standards of service.
