Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and organised Work Experience Receptionist to join our team. This role offers valuable office experience and provides an excellent opportunity to develop administrative skills within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional customer service. This paid position is ideal for individuals looking to gain practical experience in an office setting while honing their organisational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

Welcome visitors and clients in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring a positive first impression
Answer incoming phone calls using proper phone etiquette, directing calls as appropriate
Manage front desk duties, including signing in visitors and maintaining visitor logs
Perform data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office applications, Google Workspace, and QuickBooks
Handle administrative duties such as filing, photocopying, and organising documents
Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
Support the team with general clerical tasks to ensure efficient office operations
Maintain a tidy reception area, ensuring it reflects a professional environment

Qualifications

Previous office or administrative experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, and data entry software such as QuickBooks
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
Good phone etiquette and communication skills are essential for interacting with visitors and callers
Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute with high accuracy
Demonstrated clerical experience or familiarity with office procedures is advantageous
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
