HEAD HOUSE KEEPER - Self Employed

Location: The Porterhouse grill & rooms
Hours: 25-30 Hours a week

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead our small housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and guest comfort throughout our property. In this vital role, you will oversee daily cleaning operations of 7 rooms and communal areas, ensure high standards of hygiene and presentation. Your leadership will directly contribute to guest satisfaction and the overall reputation of our establishment. If you thrive in a fast-paced hospitality setting and possess a passion for maintaining pristine environments, this is the perfect opportunity for you to make a meaningful impact.

Duties

Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping staff to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces
Develop and implement cleaning schedules, standards, and procedures aligned with hospitality industry best practices
Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and presentation standards across the property
Hire & train new team members on cleaning techniques, safety protocols, and customer service expectations
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring cost-effective usage and timely replenishment
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special requests or event setups requiring housekeeping support
Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive experience
Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and motivate team members to achieve excellence
To be compliant with COSHH and Health & Safety practices within the workplace.
Notify management of any maintenance

Skills

Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or hospitality environments with janitorial expertise
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively
Excellent organisational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic setting
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety regulations within the hospitality industry
Exceptional attention to detail to uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation
Effective communication skills for clear instructions and guest interactions
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining a positive attitude
Continue to improve the standards and provide innovate suggestions.
