ABOUT THE ROLE

Jukes & Co is looking for an ambitious and personable Lettings Negotiator to join our South London team. This is a mid-level role for someone with two to four years of lettings experience who is ready to take the next step — working at a boutique agency where your contribution is genuinely visible and a clear path to senior negotiator or manager level is on the table.

You will work closely with our Lettings Manager, taking ownership of viewings, applicant relationships and offer progression, while occasionally stepping up to lead the team when needed. This is not a role for someone who wants to blend into the background — we want someone who takes pride in their work, builds real relationships, and wants to grow with us.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

You will be expected to manage your own diary, applicant pipeline and workload with confidence and minimal supervision. Every applicant you work with should feel like a priority, and every landlord interaction should reflect the Jukes standard — professional, honest and trustworthy.

Beyond the day-to-day, you will be someone the Lettings Manager can rely on. When they are out of the office or need cover, you step up without being asked. You know the portfolio, you know the clients, and you are ready.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Your viewings are well prepared, professionally conducted and consistently convert to offers
Applicants feel informed, valued and confident throughout their journey with Jukes
Offers are negotiated and progressed efficiently, with landlords kept closely in the loop
Your pipeline is always up to date and accurately logged into Lofti, our in-house CRM
You have demonstrated a high level of competency when managing the letting process, allowing autonomy in the decision making process
You have developed your knowledge of residential lettings and relationship management, allowing you to manage the total lettings cycle with ease

THE DAY TO DAY

Most weeks, you will be:

Handling enquiries, vetting applicants and matchmaking the perfect tenancies
Conducting viewings across South London, developing your knowledge of London real estate
Negotiating offers between applicants and landlords, managing expectations on both sides
Diligently managing offers, assisting prospective tenants with offer process through to move in
Acquiring, vetting and communicating hundreds of offers to landlords
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM at all times
Building trusted and longstanding relationships with landlords, relocation agents and development managers
Contributing to the team’s overall performance, sharing feedback and ideas openly

You will be office-based at our South Norwood office, with viewings and client meetings across South London throughout the week.

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

Has two to four years of residential lettings experience
Is confident conducting viewings and negotiating offers independently
Builds genuine rapport with applicants and landlords — people remember you
Is organised, self-motivated and manages their workload without needing to be chased
Is ready to step up and lead when called upon, and sees that as an opportunity rather than a burden
Wants to grow — into a senior negotiator role and, in time, into management
Represents the company they work for with pride and professionalism

EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS

Proven residential lettings experience in London
A track record of conducting high volumes of viewings and converting to offers
Experience progressing lettings from offer through referencing to move-in
Familiarity with current lettings legislation: Right to Rent, Tenant Fees Act, deposit protection
Experience working with both domestic and international landlords and applicant clients
ARLA Propertymark qualification or active progress towards it
Confident use of a lettings CRM and property portals
