Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organised GP Patient Services Lead to join our healthcare team. This role is a job share. This pivotal role involves overseeing patient services within a general practice setting, ensuring smooth operational flow and delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong office experience, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to patient satisfaction and clinic efficiency.

Duties

Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the patient services team, including reception and administrative staff
Manage appointment scheduling, patient registration, and check-in procedures with professionalism and efficiency
Ensure accurate maintenance of patient records in compliance with data protection regulations
Assist in resolving patient queries and concerns promptly, providing a high standard of customer service
Support the implementation of practice policies and procedures to optimise workflow
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth communication between patients and clinical staff
Supervise the training and development of office staff to uphold service standards
Monitor and improve patient experience through feedback collection and service enhancements

Requirements

Proven office experience, preferably within a healthcare or similar environment
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a compassionate approach towards patients
Ability to lead a team, motivate staff, and foster a positive working environment
Knowledge of data protection regulations and confidentiality protocols
Proactive problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a busy healthcare setting
