About us:

The Colony HQ is a luxury business members' clubs and events venue based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Operating as a co-working space for members with meeting rooms and an onsite bar/restaurant during the day Monday to Friday, The Colony also operates as an exclusive event venue evenings and weekends.

The role

As a Front of House and Events Team Member at The Colony HQ, you will be responsible for:

● Delivering service excellence to members and their guests

● Maintaining luxury lifestyle standards with an air of exclusivity

● Preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and barista coffees

● Taking accurate orders, basic food prep and serving

● Taking payment using the POS system, and working as part of a team

● Maximise revenue and profitability of the bar (upselling, new ideas and promotions)

● Striving for perfection in every detail related to cleanliness and presentation

● Develop and build relationships with members

● Overseeing meeting rooms and hosting to a high standard

● Following all relevant health & safety standards and regulations

About you

To shine as a Colony HQ Ambassador, you will have:

● Quality focused with an excellent eye for detail - you pick up on the little things that make a big difference

● A desire for service excellence and going above and beyond to exceed expectations

● Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written - polite and positive, professional and personable

● A self-motivated and hands on team player who leads by example

● High standards of personal presentation & grooming to leave a great first impression

● A confident, and welcoming demeanour and a proactive approach to problem-solving

● The flexibility to work shifts as required Monday to Sunday

● Documented evidence of eligibility to live and work in the UK, without restrictions

Experience:

Your experience will ideally include:

● Working within a luxury setting / 5-star hotel environment (highly desirable)

● Hospitality experience of events

● Delivering first-class service & care

● A good understanding of food, wines, spirits, and cocktails

● Work well alone or as part of a team

● Effectively managing complaints

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join The Colony HQ team, make your mark, and transform your career.

Members club opening hours are Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm with events held midweek and at weekends. Working hours open to discussion.

Benefits:

As well as a competitive salary, your package will include 28 days’ holiday (pro-rata for part-time hours) discounted food from our onsite restaurant, onsite parking and a professional and dynamic environment to inspire you to shine.
