Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and friendly Hotel Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing guest enquiries, handling reservations, and maintaining smooth front desk operations to enhance the overall guest experience. Previous hotel experience is advantageous, but a positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and check them in efficiently
Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the hotel booking system
Provide accurate information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and services
Handle guest enquiries via phone, email, or in person with professionalism and courtesy
Process payments and issue receipts in accordance with hotel procedures
Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly
Uphold high standards of phone etiquette and guest service at all times
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and reporting as required

Qualifications

Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
Proficiency in using reservation management software and MS Office applications
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Friendly, approachable demeanour with a professional appearance
Knowledge of local attractions and services is a plus
