Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop specialised skills in coffee preparation and food service within a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing beverages, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring a smooth operation during busy periods.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Assist customers with menu selections and provide excellent customer service to enhance their experience.
Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system and manage order processing efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including cleaning equipment and surfaces in compliance with food safety standards.
Restock supplies as needed, including ingredients, cups, and utensils, to ensure smooth daily operations.
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining a friendly attitude.

Experience

Minimum 3 year of barista experience (speciality coffee experience preferred).
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous to uphold hygiene regulations.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment helps ensure excellent service delivery.
Basic skills in food preparation are desirable to assist with additional kitchen tasks when required.
Proficiency in basic maths is necessary for handling transactions accurately.
Strong time management skills are essential to prioritise tasks effectively during busy periods and maintain efficiency throughout shifts. This role offers an engaging work environment where you can develop your skills while providing exceptional service to our valued customers.
