Full job description

Job Purpose:

This is a dual role - Covering Warehouse and Delivering Parts to Customers as required.

§ To receive goods and products that come into the depot

§ To keep accurate records of goods received in, damages/returns and warranties

§ Assist in picking parts for deliveries

§ Keeping Warehouse tidy

§ Regular Stock Checks

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

A Warehouse Operative must be able to work as part of a team, completing a variety of jobs in the process, such as taking delivery of goods into the warehouse for sorting, stacking and storage. (this will include some heavy lifting) Eventually stock will be picked and packed for customers ready for dispatch. You must have the ability to work quickly, accurately and safely.

Key Tasks:

§ Loading and Unloading delivery vehicles, by hand and with a pallet truck

§ Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse

§ Taking goods to the appropriate storage space

§ Keeping a careful record of the stock on the warehouse management system, so that it can be located quickly

§ Organising transfers and loading goods on to delivery vehicles/Intercompany van

§ Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse will also be part of the daily routine

§ Complying with company Health and Safety Requirements

§ Packing and arranging collection of faulty components, detailing a log on to the computer

§ Chasing up the supplier if necessary (on behalf of the customer) to obtain the relevant warranty/credit documentation

§ Logging and arranging collection of old core parts, for surcharge

§ Log Credit Notes given by the accounts team, allocate warranties (if required) and give credits back to accounts

Key Attributes:

§ Ability to accurately use MAM software (training will be provided) to keep records of incoming and outgoing goods

§ Ability to work quickly, accurately and safely

§ Self-motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude

§ Physically and mentally fit

§ Friendly and positive personality

§ A team player happy to ‘get stuck in’

Qualifications/Experience:

§ Experience of having worked in a similar environment/role key

§ Experience with MAM Autoparts an advantage but not essential

Working Hours

§ Full-time, Permanent

§ Between 08:00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday

§ 08:30am to 1:00pm Every 1 in 2 Saturday’s

Package:

§ National Minimum Wage

§ Employee Benefits, including discounts on retailers, restaurants & cinemas

§ Car parts at cost price plus 10%

§ Pension (3% Employer, 5% Employee)

§ 28 Days Holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays)
