Maintenance Technician – Caravan & Camping Park

Join a well-established, family-owned holiday park business with over 50-years of success. We are looking for a hands-on Maintenance Technician to become part of our friendly and dedicated team.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a practical, skilled, and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our busy caravan and camping park team. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on maintenance experience, excellent technical ability, and pride in delivering high-quality workmanship across a varied outdoor environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the overall presentation, safety, and operational standards of the park, supporting both guest satisfaction and the smooth day-to-day running of the site.

· Tractor operation experience is highly desirable, alongside general handyman and multi-trade maintenance skills.

About the Role

Working across the caravan and camping park, you will carry out a wide range of planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance duties. The position requires a proactive individual who can work independently, identify issues before they escalate, and consistently maintain high site standards. This is a physically active outdoor role suited to someone who enjoys practical work, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and can adapt to changing operational priorities during busy periods.

Key Responsibilities – Reporting to the General Manager

· General Site Maintenance

· Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of the park grounds and facilities.

· Carry out daily inspections of the site and report or resolve maintenance issues promptly.

· Ensure pathways, roads, fencing, drainage areas, and communal spaces remain safe and well maintained.

· Facilities Upkeep & Repairs

· Perform general repairs and maintenance across park buildings, accommodation units, utility areas, and infrastructure.

· Complete minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, decorating, and repair tasks to a high standard

· Maintain water systems, fixtures, gates, signage, lighting, and external furniture.

· Preventive & Reactive Maintenance.

· Respond efficiently to maintenance requests and operational breakdowns.

· Carry out preventative maintenance schedules on equipment, facilities, and infrastructure.

· Troubleshoot faults and implement practical repair solutions with minimal disruption

· Assist with pitch maintenance, seasonal setup, and operational support across the park

· Contribute to the smooth operation of the park during busy guest changeovers and events

· Safely operate and maintain machinery and powered equipment.

· Caravan Park Operations Support

· Tractor driving and towing experience is desirable

We are particularly interested in candidates with broad practical maintenance experience, including:

· Property repairs

· Basic electrical fault finding

· Plumbing repairs

· Carpentry and joinery

· Exterior maintenance

· Health & Safety Awareness

· Promote a safe environment for guests, staff, and contractors

Skills & Experience Required

· Proven experience in general maintenance, property repair, or handyman work

· Strong practical and technical problem-solving skills

· Ability to deliver high standards of workmanship with attention to detail

· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

· Experience operating maintenance equipment and machinery

· Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

· Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems

· Basic understanding of plumbing and electrical systems

· Good communication skills and a professional attitude

· Desirable Experience & Qualifications

· Tractor driving and implement operation

· Trailer towing experience (B+E desirable)

Experience within caravan parks, holiday parks, estates, or outdoor hospitality environments
