We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Consultant Liaison - Business Development Manager to join our team within the private healthcare sector. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing new and enhancing existing relationship with the consultants in order to drive sustainable growth.
The Business Development Lead is responsible for acting as liaison for Consultants at the Hospital and for developing and retaining referrals from these Consultants for across the assigned specialities. The role is responsible for both the appropriate recruitment of new Consultants and the ongoing maintenance of relationships with Consultants who already have a practice at Akessa Healthcare - albeit as a sole user or split user of our private hospitals and another private provider.
The appointee is responsible for new consultant onboarding and annual practising privileges renewals across all sites.
Once appointed you will be provided with induction, guidance, and training but previous experience working in a private hospital is required.

Key Accountabilities for business development:
- Develop and implement business development strategy initiatives with consultants and key strategic partners focusing on creating and enhancing patient pathways.
- Collaborate with consultants and their secretaries to build and maintain a relationship, ensuring continuous engagement and service optimisation.
- Actively pursue new referral opportunities to increase patient inflow.
- Take a leadership role in overseeing the CRM system, utilising it as a tool for daily monitoring and analysis of business development activities.
- Foster a strong working relationship with the administration and medical secretary teams to ensure cohesive and collaborative operations.
- Support the development and execution of initiatives and events to engage our network.
- Work in collaboration with the GP liaison and patient pathway teams, ensuring efficient handling of patient enquiries and maximisation of conversion rates.
- Work in collaboration with the marketing team.

107 Harley Street, is an outpatient, diagnostic and day-case facility. The Group has had a presence in the Harley Street area since 2010. The treatments offered at this facility includes oral and maxillofacial surgery, dermatology, orthodontics and specialist dentistry, plastic and cosmetic surgery, general surgery and rheumatology.
The clinical outcomes of the hospital group are of the highest standards and the latest CQC report rated our hospital standards as ‘good’ across all parameters. Our organisation has strong IT, operational, clinical governance and accountancy support.
