Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a key member of our kitchen staff, the Sous Chef will assist the Exec chef in managing daily operations, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. Duties

Assist the Head Chef in planning, organising, and supervising food preparation and production processes
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations
Supervise, mentor, and manage kitchen staff to promote teamwork and high performance
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to established recipes and standards
Monitor food quality, presentation, and consistency across all menu items
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen
Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste effectively
Support the training of new team members in food preparation techniques and safety procedures
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery

Experience

Proven supervisory experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting with a focus on high-quality service
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Demonstrable experience in culinary arts with a passion for innovative cuisine
Familiarity with serving procedures and guest interaction is advantageous
Previous experience managing kitchen operations under pressure in fast-paced environments
