Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth operation of the front desk. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within the hospitality industry, providing exceptional guest services and supporting the overall dining experience.

Availability required: FRIDAY, SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently
Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette, taking bookings and responding to enquiries
Manage guest check-in and check-out processes accurately and promptly
Handle customer queries and resolve issues in a courteous manner
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area
Coordinate with kitchen staff and waitstaff to ensure seamless service flow
Assist with administrative tasks such as updating booking records and processing payments
Support other front-of-house duties as required to enhance guest satisfaction

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is essential
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential
Experience with guest services or serving is advantageous
Familiarity with hotel or restaurant reservation systems is a plus
Knowledge of good phone etiquette and professional demeanour is required
A friendly, organised approach with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

Pay: £12.71-£14.00 per hour
