Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting functions for a small Pub Group, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial records. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting skills within a professional environment, supporting the smooth operation of our organisation’s financial processes.

Duties

Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date
Assist with preparing financial reports and statements for management review
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding billing and payments
Maintain organised filing systems for all financial documents and correspondence

Qualifications

Proven experience in an accounts administration or similar role
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential

Pay: £24,420.00-£37,997.11 per year
