Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook/Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing quality dishes such as smashed burgers/Loaded fries/Fried chicken and more.

Supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food production and hospitality to showcase their leadership and culinary expertise in a dynamic environment.

Duties

Prepare a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including supervising kitchen staff
Lead and motivate team members to maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and efficiency.
Manage food inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage practices are followed.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative culinary techniques.
Serve meals to customers when required, providing excellent hospitality service.
Take orders in-store and over the phone.
Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results.
Train new staff members on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.

Experience

Proven experience as a Cook or Chef within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment.
Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership in a culinary setting.
Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations.
Experience in team management, motivating staff to achieve high performance levels.
Familiarity with restaurant operations, including serving customers and managing kitchen workflows.
Previous experience in hospitality or catering services is advantageous. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about culinary arts, possess strong leadership skills, and thrive in fast-paced environments committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Level 2 food Hygiene required/ Level 3 food hygiene desired.

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
