Position Overview

Join our journey at My Playroom Nursery!

We are seeking a passionate, creative and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who is committed to providing exceptional care and education and wants to be part of an innovative and inspiring nursery environment.

If you are passionate about nurturing young children and helping them reach their full potential, we would love to hear from you.

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM (4 days per week, Fridays off)

Flexibility: Flexible working arrangements may be considered for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Child Development: Support the physical, emotional, social and educational development of children.
Educational Activities: Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Observation and Assessment: Monitor children's progress and complete observations and assessments to ensure individual needs are met.
Parental Communication: Keep parents informed about their child's development and daily experiences.
Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with colleagues to maintain a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment.
Safeguarding: Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications: Minimum full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare or a related field.
Experience: Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
