Full job description

Overview

Come and join our small team, working in a relaxed and friendly environment at an independent local Optician in Redhill, Surrey. We have been long established in the town and are located close to the local rail station. This is a part-time position working 3, 3.5 or 4 days per week to suit, with no weekends. Previous Reception experience and basic computer skills will be helpful, but no prior medical or optical knowledge required.

Responsibilities

Greeting patients and customers into the practice, and maintaining a professional front desk presence
Managing incoming calls with appropriate phone etiquette and politeness, and routing inquiries to the correct personnel
Booking and amending patient appointments as necessary
Maintaining organized records of appointments, deliveries, and practice supplies
Taking payments and basic electronic till management
Maintaining the practice to an orderly and tidy appearance

Qualifications

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Approachable and polite manner
Polite telephone manner with clear communication skills
Basic computer proficiency an advantage

Pay: £13.60-£14.20 per hour
