Full job description

Homes Residential Care is looking for a passionate and experienced Residential Team Leader to join our children’s home in Kings Heath, Birmingham.

We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing and structured environment where children and young people can develop confidence, life skills and greater independence. Our culture is built on two principles: "We will never give up on our young people" and "We will do whatever it takes."

Key Responsibilities

Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
Lead, motivate and support the staff team to deliver high-quality care.
Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
Provide direct care, key working and emotional support.
Maintain and review care plans and accurate records.
Work in partnership with social workers, carers and other professionals.
Promote independence and positive outcomes for young people.
Respond appropriately to safeguarding concerns.
Support health and safety and the effective running of the home.

Essential Requirements

Experience working with children and/or young people.
Level 3 CYPW or Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
Enhanced DBS check or willingness to complete one.
Strong communication, leadership and safeguarding skills.
Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available).
