Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate data entry and processing of accounts payable. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within a dynamic financial services environment. The position involves working with various accounting software platforms and requires a proactive approach to managing financial records efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Assist with processing accounts payable transactions using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
Enter and maintain accurate financial data within systems like Workday, QuickBooks, and other relevant platforms
Support the reconciliation of accounts and preparation of financial reports
Manage invoice processing, verifying accuracy and ensuring timely payments
Collaborate with the finance team to ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures
Maintain organised records of financial transactions and documentation
Contribute to month-end closing activities and audit preparations as required
Provide general administrative support related to finance functions

Qualifications:

Proven experience with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
Familiarity with Workday, QuickBooks, and other financial management tools is desirable
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial services industry standards
Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Previous experience in an administrative or finance support role is advantageous
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is preferred but not essential
