Overview
We are seeking a self-employed gardeners to provide professional gardening and landscape maintenance services. The ideal candidates will possess a passion for horticulture and experience in maintaining diverse outdoor spaces. Duties
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to prune, trim, and shape plants, shrubs, and trees
- Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure optimal watering of gardens and lawns
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, weeding, fertilising, and soil conditioning
- Plant new greenery such as flowers, shrubs, and trees according to client specifications
- Perform regular inspections of gardens to identify pests or diseases and implement appropriate treatments
- Prepare garden beds and organise planting schedules for seasonal displays
- Maintain equipment in good working order through routine cleaning and servicing
- Collaborate with clients to understand their preferences and provide tailored gardening solutions
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as secateurs, spades, and rakes
- Experience operating power tools including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers
- Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and maintenance
- Growing experience with a variety of plants, flowers, shrubs, and trees
- Strong understanding of horticulture principles and landscape maintenance techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects effectively
- Excellent organisational skills to plan daily tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients regarding garden care requirements
