LMM - The Midland is Limited Edition, which is a collection of distinctive hotels that have their own characters. Our diverse and friendly teams focus on delivering exceptional guest care, ensuring every guest feels welcomed. Limited Edition is a part of the Leonardo Hotels portfolio.

Main Tasks

As a pastry CDP you will be required to provide a wide range of intricate pastry goods across the hotel. This will include bespoke individual technical cakes for the afternoon tea lounge, A la carte desserts for the hotels restaurants and all conference, banqueting and events.

This is a great opportunity for a dedicated pastry chef to join a very experienced pastry team who are constantly pushing the boundaries with new techniques and skills. The role that is perfect for a passionate individual who is looking to grow their career and knowledge as nearly all of the pastry products are made in house.

To be proficient in this role you will need to....

Offer exceptional guest care at all times
Ensure kitchen areas and equipment are cleaned, and relevant health and hygiene procedures are always followed
Prepare, present and deliver consistently outstanding pastry goods and food for any guest needs
Collaborate with colleagues in other departments to elevate the overall guest experience consistently
Maintain good knowledge of menus and food item specifications throughout the hotel, including food items for M&E
Assist with stock control and identifying methods for improving food service as required
Run sections of the kitchen during service
Ensure a consistently high level of food service, maintaining awareness of commodities used, preparation, methods and cooking
Keep the department ready for business operations, ensuring kitchen is set up prior to service and all areas have the required equipment and products
Utilise all relevant systems correctly to complete tasks in a timely manner
Adhere to Company policies, Code of Conduct, procedures and relevant legislation at all times – including, but not limited to, Data Protection and Health and Safety regulations; this role requires particular adherence to hygiene, Allergens, COSHH and HACCP
Complete any other reasonable request made by a member of the management team or a supervisor
