Full job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Assistant Restaurant & Bar Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and a high-quality dining experience for our guests. You will play a crucial role in managing staff, maintaining standards of food & drink production, and fostering a positive work environment.

Duties

Assist in the management of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house activities.
Supervise and train staff, ensuring adherence to service standards and company policies.
Help with scheduling shifts and managing team performance to optimise productivity.
Oversee food production processes in the kitchen to ensure quality and presentation meet established standards.
Collaborate with the bar & culinary team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the restaurant environment.
Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly to enhance guest satisfaction.

Skills

Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management within a restaurant or hotel setting.
Proficient in culinary practices, including food production techniques and kitchen operations.
Knowledge of bartending practices is necessary for assisting with beverage service.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with staff and customers alike.
Ability to supervise multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
A passion for providing outstanding customer service and creating memorable dining experiences.

Required:

Valid Personal License
Min 3 years experience of Managing a Restaurant & Bar setting.
Min 2 years experience of working in a late night bar venue.
