Full job description

Food Factory Manager – Dessert Manufacturing

Salary: upto £16 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Location: Bolsover

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Food Factory Manager to join our growing dessert manufacturing business.

The successful candidate will be a hands-on, practical manager responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the factory and ensuring the smooth, efficient and safe production of our dessert range.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day operations of the dessert manufacturing facility
Oversee production to ensure products are made safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards
Lead, motivate and manage the production team
Plan and organise production schedules to meet customer demand and deadlines
Ensure high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety are maintained at all times
Monitor stock levels, ingredients, packaging and production requirements
Identify and resolve production issues quickly and effectively
Maintain accurate production and quality records
Ensure equipment and machinery are maintained and operating correctly
Work closely with suppliers and management to ensure smooth operations
Help improve processes, efficiency and productivity across the factory
Lead by example and be willing to get involved with production when required

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

Experienced in a food manufacturing or production environment
Ideally experienced in a supervisory or management role
Knowledgeable about food hygiene, HACCP and food safety procedures
Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple priorities
A confident leader who can motivate and manage a team
Practical and hands-on, with a willingness to get stuck into the day-to-day running of the factory
Able to work independently and make decisions
Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail
Flexible and proactive with a genuine interest in the success of the business

What We Offer

Up to £16 per hour, depending on experience
Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
