Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. This paid position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and proactive security measures are paramount.

Responsibilities

Monitor access points to control entry and exit of authorised personnel and visitors
Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to identify potential security threats
Perform loss prevention duties by deterring theft and ensuring the safety of assets
Enforce venue policies and procedures in a courteous yet firm manner
Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary
Maintain a visible security presence to deter undesirable behaviour
Record detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities
Collaborate with other security personnel and management to uphold safety standards

Skills

Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is desirable
Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations professionally
Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
First aid certification or willingness to undertake training is preferred
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Physically fit with the ability to stand for extended periods and perform patrols as required
Discreet, trustworthy, organised, and committed to maintaining confidentiality
