Full job description

Arya Projects Limited is seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial and financial management of residential, commercial and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost planning, procurement, tendering, contract administration and post-contract cost control to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and measurements from architectural drawings, structural drawings and project specifications.
Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in accordance with recognised methods of measurement and industry standards.
Conduct cost planning, budgeting and detailed rate analysis for construction projects.
Prepare estimates, tender submissions and commercial bid documentation for prospective projects.
Source quotations from subcontractors and suppliers and prepare commercial comparison reports.
Assist with procurement activities and evaluate supplier and subcontractor proposals.
Monitor project costs, expenditure, budgets and cash flow forecasts throughout project delivery.
Prepare interim valuations, variation assessments, cost reports and final accounts.
Assist in the administration of construction contracts and commercial documentation.
Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.
Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, invoices, payment applications and financial documentation.
Identify commercial risks and opportunities and provide recommendations to management.
Support the delivery of projects by ensuring effective cost control and budget management throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Experience:

Minimum 1–3 years' experience in quantity surveying, cost management, estimating or commercial management within the construction industry.
Experience preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, valuations, tender submissions and commercial reports.
Experience working with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers on construction projects.

Required Skills:

Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles and construction cost management.
Ability to prepare BOQs, estimates, tender documentation and commercial reports.
Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of procurement processes, contract administration and cost control procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.
Equivalent professional qualifications and relevant industry experience may also be considered.

Working Hours: 37.5 Hours Weekly
