Join Our Team

Taste of Northumberland is looking for a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our friendly kitchen team.

This is a vital role within our restaurant, helping to keep the kitchen clean, organised and running efficiently. If you’re someone who enjoys working as part of a team, takes pride in maintaining high standards and isn’t afraid of hard work, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

Wash pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and kitchen equipment.
Keep the kitchen, pot wash area and food preparation areas clean and hygienic.
Ensure all cleaning schedules are completed to the required standard.
Assist chefs with basic food preparation when required.
Receive and correctly store food deliveries.
Dispose of waste and recycling safely and efficiently.
Maintain stock of cleaning materials and notify management when supplies are running low.
Help maintain compliance with Food Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations.
Support the wider kitchen team during busy service periods.
Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by the Head Chef or management team.

Flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential as full training will be provided.

Working Hours

Shifts will include a mixture of days, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Flexible hours are available.
