Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and organised Part Time Administration Assistant to support our office operations in a busy Chartered Surveyors office.

This role is ideal for individuals with a keen eye for detail and excellent organisational skills, looking to contribute to a professional environment. The successful candidate will assist with various administrative tasks, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the office.

Duties

Assisting with data entry and maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications
Organising and scheduling appointments, meetings, and events
Handling correspondence via email and postal mail
Maintaining filing systems, both physical and digital, to ensure easy retrieval of information
Assisting with invoicing and bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
Supporting team members with general administrative duties such as photocopying, scanning, and document preparation
Ensuring the office environment remains tidy and organised at all times

Qualifications

Previous office or administrative experience is essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar).
Experience with Xero or QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent typing speed and accuracy for data entry tasks
Good communication skills with professional phone etiquette
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
